I am delighted that it was possible to bring together such prominent participants from around the world at the 2008 Austrian Magic Convention in St. Poelten, the capital of Lower Austria.

Since ancient times legerdemain and magic in their various forms have moved and fueled the imagination of people. Both of them have been recognized as arts for a long time without losing the characteristics of play and skillful deception.

Even though most people strive for rationality in their personal lives and careers, they still enjoy the astonishment and surprise they experience being taken into a world of illusions and fantasy. With respect to that sentiment the convention programme, characterized by the brilliant masters from the intenational world of magic and legerdemain, promises to provide a lot of wonderful surprises.

I wish all participants “magic“ days in the beautiful capital of St. Poelten and a successful convention.
